SSA on Community Engagement (South-East), Barr. Chioma Nweze Joins VP Shettima at UNGA
The Senior Special Assistant to the
President on Community Engagement (South-East), Barr. Chioma Nweze (@Chioms), joined Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where they participated in key meetings and side events.
Speaking on her role, Barr. Nweze explained that her mission at the Assembly is to ensure that Nigeria’s commitments on the global stage are not only well communicated but also translated into practical action at the grassroots. She stressed that community engagement serves as the bridge between international policies and local realities — fostering awareness, inclusion, and accountability.
Her active involvement highlights the Federal Government’s renewed drive to connect global policy with everyday impact, ensuring that Nigeria’s international engagements deliver real benefits for communities across the nation, with special focus on the South-East.
